12 TRIBE OF ISREAL CHART

The Twelve tribes of Israel (Igbo language: Ị zara Eli, meaning ‘you answered God’) are to
this day in Igbo land and settled according to the ‘The Order of Encampment and
Marching’ as God instructed Moses and Aaron in [Numbers 2:3-32]. Their location was
around the Temple at Jerusalem (Igbo language: iyī e rusala m meaning ‘evil should not
touch me’) which is the Holy City called today Owerri in Imo State, Nigeria.

1. Asher – (Igbo language: Ọ chịrị, meaning ‘laughed’).

2. Benjamin – (Igbo language: Bee njọ ime m, meaning ‘cut off sin from within me’).

3. Dan – (Igbo language: Daanụ ntị, meaning ‘to listen to both sides’).

4. Ephraim – (Igbo language: I fere m, meaning ‘you worshipped me’).

5. Gad – (Igbo language: Gadụọ, meaning ‘walk to or troop to’).

6. 6. ssachar – (Igbo language: ḷ sasara aka, meaning ‘you are generous’).

7. Judah – (Igbo language: Ya ode ọha, meaning ‘God resounds among the people’).

8. 8. evi – (Igbo language: Loo ive, meaning ‘reflect in the Divine Light’).

9. Manasseh – (Igbo language: Mana sị a saa Iho, meaning ‘keep saying lets answer
God’).

10. Naphtali – (Igbo language: Na-efe atụ Eli, meaning ‘obeys the instructions of the
Most High’)

11. Reuben – (Igbo language: Rube nụ [isi], meaning ‘you should obey’).

12. Simeon – (Igbo language: Si mụ ọnụ, meaning ‘from my mouth).

13. Zebulun – (Igbo language: Zebelụ unu, meaning ‘to show you all).
